Kid Nation: The Review

After seeing the first episode, I can say with absolute certainty that CBS has a hit on their hands. I love Kid Nation. If I were younger, and had parents that were negligent and fame-hungry, maybe I would even have tried out for the show.

I wanted to follow up on the four kids I spotlighted last entry, and talk about how they did this past episode.

Randi: Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure she ended up not doing the show. I know she didn't say anything, and I don't even think I saw her in any of the group scenes. Am I right?

Greg: So far, Greg is the villain of the show. I hate him. If this were Lord Of The Flies, he would be Jack to Michael's Ralph. Were those the names of the bad and good guys from that book? The point is, Greg is bad news. I can't believe I anticipated a lot of sex for him. He d0es not deserve it.

Laurel: Little did I know, when I chose to write about Laurel, that she would be one of the stars of the show. Laurel was chosen to be one of the four members of the town council. She led the green team to a last place finish in the colored water challenge. Even with her poor leadership skills, she was very nice to the little eight year old who quit, and said she'd be his mother, or something odd like that.

Brett: I definitely saw Brett, so unlike Randi, I am convinced he's on the show. However, I don't think he said anything. Oh well. We'll all just have to wait until next week for his unique liberal take on the issues of the day.

Well, that's Kid Nation in a nutshell. Watch it. Write to your local CBS affiliates telling them how much you loved the show, and how Two and a Half Men should be taken off the air. It's just not good.
