I'm back

Faithful readers,

I'm back. Now, I imagine you probably think that I was kidnapped, or something equally sinister, for these past three weeks, which I why I haven't been keeping you up to date on my fun life through these blogs. However, the truth is that I don't have such a foolproof excuse. I just haven't been posting. Don't worry though, I'll catch everyone up on what I've done these past weeks, and it'll seem like no time's past at all.

As an extra treat, I've included this image that popped up in a google image search for the word "happiness." I hope that cheers everyone up.

How crazy and pathetic

Sometimes, I get emotional about things, usually to my embarrassment. My embarrassment is amplified when I get irrationally emotional over things that are pretty stupid. Here's a good example from earlier this morning.

Through wiki-surfing, as the kids call it these days, I stumbled upon a list of all the characters on the hit TV show Friends. As I started reading about Friends and all of the friends' friends, I began to wonder how all of the plot lines were resolved over the course of the series, which I had stopped watching after the third season or so. I clicked on the entry "Season synopsis of friends" and began reading away. Discovering the ways in which Rachel, Monica, Phoebe, Joey, Chandler, and Ross' lives changed as they moved from their mid-twenties to their mid-thirties made me really sad. I started thinking about growing up, and the ways in which people grow apart, and move on with their lives. I then had to look up all of the characters to see when they were born, to see how far removed I am from the ages of the characters as the show began. Anyway, I learned a lot about Friends today, and became quite upset doing so.

Pretty crazy, no?
