Yes everyone, it's that time of year: the time when old man winter’s cold grip begins to strangle us all. All of this talk about the changing of the seasons reminds me of a little adventure I had but a few weeks ago.
At the end of October, I bought some sweaters and shirts at the Children’s Place. I know what you’re all thinking: isn’t that store for, you know, kids?!?
Yes.
However, most adult clothes don’t fit me, as I’m devilishly skinny. Anyway, after I bought my clothes, I tried on the shirts (I obviously couldn’t try them on in the store), and noticed that the size I got, large, was too small. I had to return them and get extra larges.
Well, when I went back to the store, I discovered that the season had changed from Fall to Winter, and that the shirts were now on sale. I returned my two shirts, and planned on getting three to replace them. However, the Emerald Green shirt that I bought was out of stock in my local CP. This was going to be a problem.
I had to go online and find out where the other CP stores were in the city. I found one, and bought the shirt. Phew. What I liked most about this new store though, wasn’t that they had the Emerald Green shirt in stock, but that the bags they gave me weren’t as flashy. Instead of giving the bright blue bags with “Children’s Place” written in white, this store opted for the more subtle white plastic bag, with “Children’s Place” written in blue. Much classier.
In conclusion, the seasons are changing. Best to check your favorite shops and see if your shirts are on sale.
